Midnight Snacking Linked to Tooth Loss

If you are a typical ‘late-night munch’ person you better straighten up your habit as this might cause you more missing teeth later in life.

In the article published by Jeremy Hsu, LiveScience Senior Writer, entitled Late-Night Munchies Linked to Tooth Loss, it states that nocturnal eating can predict tooth loss among both men and women over time, even when controlling for factors such as age, education, smoking, diabetes, body mass, binge eating and carbohydrate consumption. Also, people who eat at night and then don't brush their teeth could be especially at risk because of less saliva flow at night to help clean the teeth.

If you do not want to feel the agony of a tooth pain and have funny-looking smile because of lost front teeth, stop your late-night munchies, regular brushing of teeth and regular visit with a trusted and experience dentist at least every six months.

Remember prevention is better and cheaper than cure.
