Hints on blogging

Since this is my very first blog spot and I am not quite sure what to say, I think blogging is more about being casual and that you can post whatever your heart desires and not to be overly concerned.

Well actually I seek the opinion of a brilliant internet geek friend about blogging. He spoke to me casually and said, 'just post whatever you want and if you are really serious about your new blog then I would suggest you to introduce yourself very much like an introduction to a new friend.'

Now, I get the idea. First rule is to set a good and lasting impression to your audience.

INTRODUCE MYSELF: I will let anybody who is reading my blog get a little insight about who I am. Share with them my interests, work experiences and other personal experiences that may be of interest to them and relevant to the place where I am working at. Talk through my family and of what importance they may have to me and why. I can also share pictures if I have any. After all one picture is worth a thousand words. My readers will appreciate this. I will also talk about my stay in Riyadh, the facts that I like about this place, people, culture and work, and what keeps me going and motivated.

Second, let my readers understand my purpose and motivation for blogging. Make my intentions clear as to what nagging questions, dilemmas or passions I plan to address.

Third, make sure I ask for comments on my blog because it will increase the reader participation, which is necessary if I want to make my blog popular.

Realizing that my first blog post is an introduction to my readers, I think if I detail these two subjects [my experiences in Riyadh and Hospital atmosphere] itself will give me a solid start for my new blog.

Goodluck and happy blogging for myself as the challenge to create and maintain a popular blog spot begins.
